Juneau Youth Services

Juneau Youth Services

Youth Services was established in 1961. We provide a variety of residential, community-based and emergency programs for the youth and children and their families in our community. These services also include chemical dependency and mental health services.

Our philosophy for admission here at JYW is to provide wraparound, individualized services that are based on the strengths of the children we serve and their families. We provide these services in the least restrictive settings as possible. This allows us to provide programs that are similar to their home environments and stress the child’s development of nurturing, positive relationships. It also allows us to emphasize the skills that are needed to be successful in both their community and in their lives. One of the primary goals for each of our programs is to either reunite the child with their family or allow the child to remain in their home, as long as this is in the best interest of the child.
