Job Details

Juneau Youth Services is a comprehensive behavioral health provider for children and youth, and their families. We began operations in 1961 and currently provide a full array of emergency, residential, and community-based programs, including both mental health and chemical dependency services.

We are seeking a full-time or part-time certified Chemical Dependency Counselor to provide assessments and intervention services to youth with substance use disorders, and dually-diagnosed substance use and mental health disorders.

The position ensures that services in the client treatment plan are implemented in accordance with best practices and in compliance with documentation requirements. The position coordinate with multiple staff as well as external agencies. Candidates should demonstrate awareness and application of: developmental theory, family dynamics, substance abuse/mental health, and behavioral principles.

Minimum qualifications: Chemical Dependency Counselor Certification and/or Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or closely related field. Preference will be given to licensed and license-eligible candidates.
